High traffic flowing through the only border crossing between Qatar and KSA, has led to an increasing demand to develop the area through the improvement of the crossing.
The enhancement materialized by Implementing the Qatari design characteristics elements, presenting the introduction of the local heritage through the architectural approach at the forefront border, welcoming crossing travelers with the high-quality large facility, providing state of the art search equipment, comfortable welcoming with retail shops, food & beverages, and for truck drivers the convenience of rest area that includes a canteen, showers, new mosque. The search & inspection area is made large enough to accommodate the high cargo volumes and a cargo village to absorb the demands.
