Architect’s Vision
The SHARJAH CRIMINAL COURT COMPLEX is a grand and
luxurious building that seamlessly blends traditional and modern
architecture. Its symmetrical façade embodies traditional
language, representing the concepts of balance and equality.
The design is heavily influenced by the grand style of modern
Sharjah's architecture. The materials used in the building
construction were carefully chosen to ensure it harmonizes with
its surroundings.
The design of the complex is based on the separation of the
prosecutions department and the court's department, although
this separation is indirect. The design separates the circulation
of visitors and judges, placing the prosecutions and court
departments along a central axis, in a linear collecting design.
One of the unique features of this design is its beautiful view
from the main road, Al Zaid Road. In addition, an inner Court-
yard was incorporated to bring nature inside the building, not
only enhancing ventilation but also reducing thermal loads.
This design element provides a sense of tranquility and
calmness within the building.
